Pyongyang, May 31 (KCNA) -- Agricultural officials and workers in North Phyongan Province of the DPRK are speeding up the immediate rice-transplanting.

As of May 30, rice-transplanting at 10-odd farms was completed in the main area and the result of the province exceeded 80 percent.

The province has taken steps to ensure the full operation of pumping equipment so as to supply enough water needed for rice-transplanting.

Agricultural workers at city and county farms have stepped up rice-transplanting, ensuring the number of rice seedlings per phyong according to fields and plots.

Volunteers from institutions and industrial establishments in the province, too, are working hard to fulfill their tasks in a responsible manner. -0-
