Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- Today marks the 80th founding anniversary of the Central Cadres Training School of the Workers' Party of Korea, the highest institute for training Party cadres.

After the liberation of Korea (August 15, 1945), President Kim Il Sung advanced a revolutionary policy for founding the Party school and guided its preparations. He declared the founding of the school on June 1, 1946.

Two years later since then, he personally gave an autographic instruction to the first one year-class graduates of the school that they should become competent officials of the Party and the state ready to stand in the van of the people for the independence and sovereignty of the country and the freedom and happiness of the people and always work with the people among them.

On October 17, 2022, the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the school and recalled the autographic instruction of President Kim Il Sung, stressing that this proposition carrying the essence of the WPK's character and work style should be deeply implanted in the hearts of the students as the basis of their life and struggle and only then, is it possible to train them into true officials of the Party possessed of absolute and devoted service to the people.

With his deep insight into the importance of the strong base for training Party cadres in successfully paving the way for the revolution, the General Secretary unfolded a bright blueprint for building a wonderful political school which would be perfect even in the distant future, saying that it is time to build a new school.

He chose a good place in the Kumsusan area for the site of the school and meticulously guided the whole course of its construction. Under his guidance, the school could be built into the most prestigious political school with perfect appearance as a "pedigree farm" for training core backbone of our Party.

He attended the inauguration ceremony of the school and made an important speech. And on June 1, 2024, the day of opening the school, he made a significant commemorative address and observed the first lesson of students getting retrained.

The school with its proud history of 80 years has produced many Party officials and talents, who have made a contribution to the victorious advance of the Party and the revolution by skillfully and staunchly conducting activities in all spheres of the party and state building and the revolutionary struggle.

The Central Cadres Training School of the WPK is still now striving to train Party cadres in the new era, who are faithful to the idea and spirit of the Party foundation, true to its mission and duty. -0-
